- Ensure that you have enabled “USB Debugging” on your device.

Steps To Update HTC One M7 To Android L Developer Preview
Step 1: Download “Android L Developer Preview” ROM on your PC.
Step 2: Now you have to copy the downloaded file on to your device.
Step 3: Turn your device off.
Step 4: Boot your device into “Recovery Mode” by pressing and holding “Volume Down + Power button” for a few seconds.
You will get a Hboot menu and then select “Recovery“.
Note: In the Recovery mode, use the Volume keys to move up/down and the Power key to select a highlighted item.
Step 5: Further you have to perform a full data wipe by selecting “wipe data/factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”.
Then go to “advanced options in CWM Recovery” from there select “wipe Dalvik Cache“. That’s it!
Step 6: Now, go to the main menu choose “install zip from SD card” > Select ROM (Which you have downloaded and placed in internal storage) > give “Yes” for confirmation.
The process will take 3-5 minutes to install the ROM so wait for the whole process to complete.
Step 7: Finally, go back to the main menu and select “reboot system” now.
Note: The phone will take 10-15 minutes to start and initialize all the services & apps because this is the first time you are starting a phone.
