How to root the Lenovo A6000 plus

After a runaway success with the Lenovo A6000, the company is back again with a second helping! The Lenovo A600o plus is beefier in specs and has better performance all around. Add to that, it is significantly cheaper than the Redmi note 4G, it’s main competitior and this makes his handset quite a popular one. However all phones have some drawbacks. As for this one, the budget oriented handset runs on the now outdated Android 4.4.4 Kitkat atop Lenovo’s custom UI. Now while there are no Custom ROMs to remedy that as of yet, we do have some solace for you rootrers and tweakers out there. We have found out how to root the lenovo a6000 plus that too without a PC!


Pre requisites

  • This method works only on the Lenovo A6000 plus.
  • Make sure your device has at least 80% charge.
  • You need an active internet connection for this procedure to work.


If you are confused by the many versions available in there we suggest you try the latest version first.

Step 1

Since this is an application downloaded from outside the playstore, we need to enable install apps from unknown sources first. You can find this by navigating to the settings option in your phone and then scrolling down to the security, and clicking on it. Just tick the unknown sources tab inside there are you are good to go!

Step 2

Install the Kringo root apk on your mobile.

Step 3

Once installation is done open the app. Click on the big button that says root.


Step 4

Wait for a few moments! The flashing process will begin.

Step 5

The Kringo root app will inbstall two apks on your mobile one is the Kringouser app and the Kringomaster app. You can delete the Kringomaster app later on if you don’t need it.

Step 6

You’re done! Reboot once and check root for your device with the root validator app.

Congratulations on having successfully rooted your device! You’re now good to go. Only one step remains between you and custom roms that is a custom recovery. There are no Custom ROMs available for the A6000 plus yet but we will be back with another article whenever they arrive!
