3. Backup your phone data.

4. Install Samsung Galaxy S3 USB drivers from here.

5. Download file to root Galaxy S3

Easy Steps to Root Galaxy S3

1. Install drivers and extract Odin and CF Root files and extract both of them on the desktop.

2: Now, switch off your phone to boot it into Odin/Download mode by pressing and holding Volume down + Home + Power Key (long Press), till you see the Android Logo on screen. And then press the Volume Up key to enter download mode.

3: Open the “Odin.exe” and then connect your phone to computer via USB cable. As soon as you connect, ID:COM box in Odin turns light green/yellow color.

4: Now, click on PDA button and select PDA file (CF-Root-SGS3-v6.3.tar) from the CF Root extracted folder.

I had follow all the steps…..but,just one I wanna ask.
how do I know my Galaxy S3 is rooted or not ????

    • sohil memon says

If you find “SuperSU” app in your application drawer means your phone is being rooted as well as you can give permissions to other root apps to access root by SuperSU app.

The only reason I have to root my S3 is so I can look for a way to group message on my phone (being in a message with a bunch of other people, and have all the reply messages appear on on message feed instead of each individual numbered message feed).
If I root S3, Is this possible??? Please Help!

    • sohil memon says

It’s a default in S3 Stock ROM, if possible then you can change it via Jelly Bean Custom ROM. And if can wait for few days then I am posting guide on official Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S3.
